A detailed late 1700s print which illustrates the Architectural style of decorative doors.
The Corinthian order is the most ornate of the Greek orders of architecture, characterised by a slender fluted columns having an ornate capitals. It is commonly regarded as the most elegant of the three orders.
The Ionic order is one of the three orders of classical architecture, the others being Doric and Corinthian. It is most recognisable by its columns. Every column is made of a base, a shaft, and the volute on top. In the Ionic order, the volute is shaped like scrolls or spirals.
